Welcome to the official blog of Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies, Zeta Chapter! You, lucky web surfer, have stumbled upon something quite amazing.
I'm sure you're wondering what it is.
You've found us! Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies. We are a sorority dedicated to women in the STEM majors. We are a sisterhood that helps create lasting bonds between women undertaking these challenging majors at undergraduate institutions across the nation. But, most importantly, we are the Zeta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies.
Located at one of the top institutions for undergraduate research, The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is where we make our home. In our fifth year as a chapter of Alpha Sigma Kappa - Women in Technical Studies, many of our Zeta sisters have graduated and are making waves across the country. From scientists to engineers, from mathematicians to IT specialists, sisters of Alpha Sigma Kappa continue to set the standard for achievement, success, and integrity so dear to our organization.
Now, with official recognition as a part of Greek Life at UMBC, we Zeta ladies are taking on new and exciting challenges. We have big plans before the end of our semester in May. With our newest candidate class, the Kappa class, beginning the journey into sisterhood, we Zetas are excited for this semester!
And, dear readers, we're excited to share some of our adventures with you. Keep your eyes on this journal: the Zetas are here!
